Trading Recommendations for the Cryptocurrency Market on May 27

Bitcoin today has already tested the mark of $75,200 and is not stopping there. Ethereum is also slowly but surely moving towards $2,000.

This situation is not surprising, as the outflow from spot ETFs for Bitcoin and Ethereum continues with alarming consistency. A $333.7 million loss from Bitcoin ETFs marks the seventh consecutive day of outflows, while Ethereum has recorded 11 consecutive days of outflows, totaling a $35 million loss yesterday.

When we sum up the data for the past week, the picture becomes even more grim: the weekly outflow from Bitcoin ETFs exceeded $1.26 billion, and yesterday's data merely continues this streak. The market sees no signs of a reversal—neither from institutional investors nor from retail participants. Additionally, fresh news from Strategy indicates that Michael Saylor's company has officially confirmed its readiness to sell Bitcoin to service its debt obligations, which signifies that the largest corporate holder of 843,000 coins is now a potential seller.

On the other side, there is again HYPE and again in solitude. An inflow of $20.5 million makes it the only asset with a noticeable positive result for the day. XRP added a symbolic $1.55 million. Everything else—SOL, LINK, DOGE, HBAR, LTC, AVAX, DOT—showed zero flows. The total inflow across all altcoins barely reached $22 million—less than 7% of the amount that simultaneously exited Bitcoin ETFs. This finally disproves the notion of a "rotation" of capital from Bitcoin to altcoins: money is simply leaving the market, lacking worthy alternatives within it.

As for the intraday strategy in the cryptocurrency market, the strategy and conditions are described below.

Buy Scenario

  • Scenario #1: I plan to buy Bitcoin today at an entry point around $76,000, targeting a move to $76,600. At $76,600, I will exit the buy trades and sell immediately on the bounce. Before buying on a breakout, ensure the 50-day moving average is below the current price and the Awesome Oscillator is above zero.
  • Scenario #2: Buying Bitcoin is also possible from the lower boundary at $75,500 if there is no market reaction to breaking it back towards levels $76,000 and $76,600.

Sell Scenario

  • Scenario #1: I plan to sell Bitcoin today upon reaching an entry point around $75,500, targeting a decline to $74,800. At $74,800, I will exit the sell trades and buy immediately on the bounce. Before selling on a breakout, ensure the 50-day moving average is above the current price and the Awesome Oscillator is below zero.
  • Scenario #2: Selling Bitcoin is also possible from the upper boundary at $76,000 if there is no market reaction to breaking it back towards levels $75,500 and $74,800.
